PURPOSE: To make complicated processing unnecessary and to easily produce an airtight sheet by forming a specified rugged pattern on the contact surface of the sheet to a sensitive material. CONSTITUTION: This airtight sheet 41 for a contact printer is used for a contact printer which is equipped with a glass plate and a rubber bank disposed in an annular state on the outer edge of the glass plate so that a sensitive material and an original are tightly adhered on the glass plate to print the original image on the sensitive material. This sheet is used to tightly seal the space formed by the glass plate and the rubber bank. The sheet has a rugged pattern 42a formed on the contact surface to the sensitive material. The depth (d) of recesses 52c and the period (p) of projections 52b in the rugged pattern 52a satisfy the relation of d>=0.02, p<=0.8 and d<=0.1×p-0.015. Further, the thickness t of the sheet ranges 0.8 to 1.5mm.
