PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine relatively easily gross coupled weight(GCW) by letting a GCW calculating means having access to an electronic data link to determine GCW as a function of the information on the elctronic data link. SOLUTION: An input shaft speed sensor 98, an engine speed sensro 99 and an output shaft speed sensor 100 are used to determine GCW. The signals from the respective sensors 98-100 are input into ECU(Engine Processor) 106 to be processed in accordance with a predetermined logic rule, and a command output signal is red to a display unit 108, etc. GCW can be obtained from the following expression: GCW=(T1 -T2 )/[(A1 -A2 )×C] where, T1 : wheel torque at time t1 , T2 : wheel torque at time t2 , t1 , t2 : 2 times nearing each other (within few seconds), A1 : vehicle speed at time t1 , A2 : vehicle speed at time t2 , C: rolling radius/gravity constant. |
