PURPOSE: To measure the water content correctly regardless of variation in the material of an object to be measured or the like. CONSTITUTION: Light from a light source 1 is projected through a projection lens 2 onto an object to be measured 3 and a transmitted light passes through a condenser lens 4 and filters 51, 52 having comparison wavelengthsλ1,λ3 and a measurement wavelengthλ2, which is not subjected to the moisture or the like, provided on a rotary selector 5 and impinges on a detection element 6. The output signal therefrom is amplified through an amplifier 7 and separated through a signal separation/rectifier 8 into signals R1, S, R2 corresponding to respective wavelengths and taken out through a synchronizing signal generator 9. An operating unit 10 operates functions f(S, R1, R2) and g(R1, R2) and the water content is operated based on a type determined from the relationship between the functions (f) and (g). |
