PURPOSE: To obtain a light deflecting device where abraded parts are easily replaced and whose service cost is low. CONSTITUTION: A fixed shaft 2 is fitted and inserted in a rotating sleeve 3, and the sleeve 3 is integrated with a rotor magnet 5 through a flange member 4. A rotary polygon mirror 1 is pressed against the flange member 4 by a press metal 9, and rotated with the rotor magnet 5 by energizing a stator coil 8. A thrust member 10 is screwed at the upper end of the rotating sleeve 3, and the thrust member 10 abuts on the upper end of the fixed shaft 2. The thrust member 10 is made of ceramic material whose abrasion resistance is smaller than the fixed shaft 2, and abraded earlier than the fixed shaft 2 by the rotation of the rotating sleeve 3. The life of the light deflecting device is prolonged just by replacing the abraded thrust member 10. |
