PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for simply moving a suction grill of a ceiling recessed air conditioner in upward and downward directions, having a cost- reduced, compact construction with a reduced number of failure factors. CONSTITUTION: An expanding/contracting mechanism 16 of a pantograph-like structure is installed between a fringe portion of an air inlet 9a of a decorative panel 9 and a suction grill 14. A bottom end portion of a wire 17a is connected to the suction grill 14 and a top end of the wire 17a is hung on a wire-winding device 17b mounted on the decorative panel 9 in the state of being energized in a winding direction. A hook fixture is provided in a central potion of the suction grill 14. To move the grill in a downward direction, the hook fixture is hooked by means of an operation rod 21 to draw the suction grill in the downward direction. To move the grill in an upward direction, the grill is expanded in the upward direction by the energy of the wire 17a. |
