PURPOSE: To easily implement a desired function with a small number of keys by generating a cursor on a touch panel according to the input of a character or the contact position of a pen, etc., and selecting and transmitting a function according to the movement of the cursor. CONSTITUTION: A touch sensor 12 senses the contact position on the touch panel 11 and also senses the inputted character by a contact means such as a finger and a pen. A scan converter 13 converts the contact position or inputted character into data and outputs the data to a microprocessor 15. The processor 15 drives the infrared-ray signal transmission part 16 of a remote control 10 through the contact position data, character data, or a key matrix 14. The infrared-ray reception part 21 of a TV 20 receives the signal sent from the transmission part 16 and sends it to the microcomputer 22. The microcomputer 22 controls a graphic and cursor control part 25 to display a menu relating to the function on a display 27, and then implements the function. |
