PURPOSE: To provide a large supply current from a small energy source by operating forced commutation upon a bridge composed of a bidirectional switching device. CONSTITUTION: Commutating bridge arrangement 120 is forcedly commutated by an RF local oscillator 150. In this case, under the control of local oscillator 150, a switching device 125 converts an RF signal, which appears at a gain operating port 25 of RF amplifier 10, to a new frequency at a port 115 of AF frequency selective imittance network 140. Voltages and currents from the gain operating port 25 of RF amplifier 10 flow through the commutating bridge arrangement 120 to the AF frequency selective imittance network 140. In this case, these voltage and current are converted to a frequency. The RF amplifier 10 meets network admittance characteristics reflected through the commutating bridge 120. This is also converted to a frequency again. Therefore, the network 140 is operated upon the frequency characteristics of amplifier 10 at RF. |
