PURPOSE: To decrease the rate of malfunction in the case of operation by equipping the telephone set with registration function buttons which enable a desired function to be newly registered and also installing a control part for registering the desired function by the use of the registering function buttons. CONSTITUTION: When a # button 2hc is continuously pressed in registration mode (when an abbreviation/registration button 2ed is pressed), the control part decides the mode wherein a telephone number is registered, and telephone number data registration processing for one-touch dialing is performed. When a * button 2ha is continuously pressed in the registration mode, the control part decides the mode wherein a function of the telephone set is registered and extended function data registration processing for one-touch dialing is performed. Further, when neither the # button 2hc nor the * button 2ha is pressed and a function button of the telephone set is pressed in the registration mode, the control part performs registration processing for storing function number data given to the function button is a memory area of a RAM corresponding to a one-touch dial button.
