<p>PURPOSE: To detect the clogging of a foreign material in form detecting rollers at an arbitrary time and date without lowering the operation rate of a roll by detecting a fluctuation signal generated from the rollers. CONSTITUTION: In order to inspect a fine gap between each disc of form detection rollers 1 for the clogging of a foreign material, the rollers 1 are first rotated under no load in normal state free from the clogging, and a generated fluctuation signal is detected with a charge amplifier 5. Then, a selector switch 11 is closed to collect analog waveform data into a signal collection means 7 and the data is stored as a reference fluctuation signal in a memory 8. Furthermore, in order to detect the clogging during the operation of a roll, the fluctuation signals of the rollers 1 are collected by the amplifier 5 under no load where no roll plate is loaded, and the switch 11 is opened to input data to the means 7. This data is compared with the waveform of the reference fluctuation signal stored in in the memory 8, and the result of the comparison is sent to a judgement means 9. In this case, the means 9 judges that an error exists, when the detected fluctuation signal deviates from the reference fluctuation signal over a preset value, and outputs an alarm signal to an indicator lamp 10.</p> |
