PURPOSE: To provide a socket with insertion and extraction force of zero to which terminals of an integrated circuit are able to be always smoothly inserted. CONSTITUTION: The first insertion part 50 and the second insertion part 60 are installed in each insertion hole 22 of a housing 21. The shape of an entire plane is formed almost convexly, and the second insertion part 60 is located forward for the direction of movement when a slide board 26 is shifted with terminals of an integrated circuit inserted. Contacts 23 are separately installed in the insertion holes 22 of the housing 21. An insertion leg part 24 and an elastic piece part 25 are provided in the contact 23. Protrudent stopper parts 31, 32 are installed on a free edge in the elastic piece part 25. The width of both sides of the stopping parts 31, 32 is larger than the width of the second insertion part 60. When the contact 23 is inserted in the first insertion part 50, the elastic piece part 25 is compressed to the side of the insertion leg part being deformed elastically, and the contact receives pre-pressure the insertion leg part. |
