The method is for minimizing a wrong operation of the air bag by distinguishing the rear shock from the front shock. The method comprises processing the signals, sensed in a main shock sensor(1), via a comparator(2), and generating pulse signals(X1,X2) via a pulse generator(3) based on the proccesed signals; simultaneously processing the signals, sensed in a auxilliary shock sensor(1'), via a comparator(2'), and generating pulse signals(X1',X2') via a pulse generator(3') based on the proccesed signals; comparing the pulse signals(X1,X2) with the pulse signals(X1',X2') in a phase comparator(4), and generating the siganls(Y1,Y2) based on the comparing process; and driving an inflator and the air bag based on the signals(Y1,Y2).
