PURPOSE: To obtain a display device to display a photographed two-dimensional picture as if it moves at the same speed as reality by displaying the same three-dimensional picture repeatedly plural times. CONSTITUTION: Photographing is executed by dividing one heartbeat period of a heart into N-pieces of the phases of the interval of ΔT (sec), and collecting one three-dimensional picture data (consisting of plural sheets of two-dimensional tomographic images) for every phase. Then, a display picture generating part 10 reads the three-dimensional picture data Ii of each phase out of a picture storage device 8 in conformity to the instruction of a CPU 2, and generates the three-dimensional picture. This display picture generating part 10 binarizes or ternarizes the read out three-dimensional picture data Ii (variable density picture) on the basis of a threshold set by a threshold setting device, and generates a multi-level three-dimensional display picture. Further, it supplies the multilevel three-dimensional display picture to a three-dimensional display device 12 repeatedly n-time in every frame interval (display switching interval) Δt (sec) of the three-dimensional display device 12 so as to display the same multilevel three-dimensional picture repeatedly n-times. |
