PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of a line-of-sight detecting system, to reduce cost and to miniaturize an apparatus by detecting the position of the line of sight within a finder, overlapping and displaying the position of the line of sight on a corresponding position within the finder based on the detected result, consecutively renewing the display and displaying it in a specified cycle, and deciding the control of a light emitting means based on the position of the line of sight. CONSTITUTION: This camera is provided with line-of-sight position detecting means 5 and 7 detecting the position of the line of sight within the finder at which a photographer gazes based on the line of sight of the photographer who looks in the finder, an information display means displaying the information in the finder, a display means overlapping and displaying the detected position of the line of sight on the corresponding position within the finder based on the outputted result by the detecting means 5 and 7, and an actuating means actuating the detecting means 5 and 7 in the specified cycle. The information on the position of the line of sight displayed on the display means is consecutively renewed and displayed in the specified cycle and the control of the light emitting means 42 controlled from the camera is decided based on the position of the line of sight. |
