PURPOSE: To prevent the non-display part of each picture display panel from visually hindering a large screen even in the case of forming the large screen by arraying many picture display panels in a matrix state. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of the picture display panel constituted by sealing an electrode group for display in a flat outer surround unit 6 having a square light transmissive front surface wall 1 and setting a picture display area (a) surrounded by a square frame-like non-display part 9 on the front surface wall 7, and a square transparent plate 5 provided to be superposed on the outer surface of the front surface wall 7. An outer periphery corresponding to the non-display part 9 out of the front surface of the transparent plate 5 is chamfered so as to form a lens area 12.
