<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate detection lag or detection miss of the soundless part between melodies by setting the detection time constant of a detection circuit at an appropriate value corresponding to the moving speed of a magnetic tape based on the operation results from a tape speed operating circuit. CONSTITUTION: When the time interval of a soundless part detected by a first comparison circuit 9 is longer than a reference time, a second comparison circuit 10 delivers pulse signals corresponding in number to that of the melodies which are transmitted to a control circuit 11. The control circuit 11 counts the number of pulses and when it matches the previously designated number of melody to be headed, a command for pressing a pinch roller 4a and a capstan 3a is delivered to a first drive means 12. Upon finishing the press contact of the punch roller 4a and the capstan 3a, a second drive means 12 lowers the rotary torque of a second hub 2 to finish transition to a reproduction mode thus ending the heading operation.</p> |
