PURPOSE: To provide an engine mount for an automobile, by which a vibration transmission characteristic is set to reduce the noise of an engine according to the filling amount of gas, and the damping characteristic against high-frequency vibration is increased so as to improve the vibration reducing effect. CONSTITUTION: An engine mount for an automobile comprises a rubber member 4 having elasticity and a diaphragm 9 as a thin film member having elasticity, wherein a fluid chamber 10 for enclosing a fluid in the interior thereof is formed by the rubber member 4 and the diaphragm 9, and vibration is absorbed by the rubber member and the diaphragm. Further, the engine mount comprises a partition member 7 for partitioning the fluid chamber 10 into the main chamber 10a and the auxiliary chamber 10b, a spreader spring for reducing the vibration of an engine by the expansion and contraction of the rubber member 4 and the fluid L is formed, and the main chamber 10a is filled with gas of such a quantity as to decrease a spring constant of the spreader spring by half or less. |
