Planetary rolling mill with reduced roll wear

The planetary rolling mill incorporates two non-rotating support bodies which are held in mounting blocks (2), and carry respectively cage rings (7a,7b,8a,8b) of the top and bottom roll sets (3,4). The working rolls (3a,4a) and/or intermediate rolls - which in the roll gap region are in contact with their respective support bodies - of the roll sets (3,4) are installed in the cage rings provided with self-aligning roller bearings. The rolling mill is characterised the cage rings (7a,7b,8a,8b) in their planes of rotation are rotatable relative to one another.
