Optical multiway plug connector for termination and coupling of optical cable

The optical double plug includes two push-pull plugs (1,2) fitted with flexible plastic sleeves (3,4), and a combining bridge (11). The flexible sleeves act as protection. The combining bridge can be applied during the injection-moulding process. The glass fibres of the cables (5,6) are centred in ferrules (7,8) supported by a holder. The plug connection is made with the aid of unlocking sliders (9,10) which can be pushed along the housings. The bridge constitutes a captive and resilient coupling between the two sleeves only.
