PURPOSE: To enable changing over functions of an operating piece during a playing by storing control data becoming references corresponding to functions to be assigned to a continuous variable operating piece at every tone color and generating new control data while correcting control data stored in accordance with positions of the operating piece. CONSTITUTION: This device has function assigning means 16, 17 assigning functions to a continuous variable operating piece 6 and a storage means 15 stores control data becoming references corresponding to respective functions to be assigned to the operating piece 6 by the operations of these means at every tone color. Then, a control means 13 generates new control data by correcting control data of the storage means 15 in accordance with the setting states of respective operating pieces and positions of the operating piece 6. The data are stored in a storage means 14 and are read out when it becomes a prescribed timing and then a musical tone is generated by being imparted by prescribed effects. Thus, playing expressing functions are assigned to the operating piece 6 by operating easily function assigning means 16, 17. |
