Drying device for vehicles

The drying device includes a blower (14) with output jets (1) which can be turned round a horizontal axis (2) so that the airflow (8) can be applied efficiently to vertical surfaces of the vehicle. The horizontal axis is at a right angle to the direction (4) of the relative motion between the vehicle (3) and the device (5). There is an angle-setting device (7) for the output jets, which keeps the direction of the airflow (8) aligned with that of the vehicle outline (9). The device may also include a rack (10) carrying vertical rails (11) for one or more carriages (12) with carriers (13) for turning the output jets round the horizontal axis.
