Electromagnetic control valve for use with engines

The valve is intended especially for use as a ventilation valve for the fuel tank of an internal combustion engine. It has a valve plate (15), which is pressed against its seat (12) by the action of an armature (8). An interconnecting rod (16) lies against the armature, and is guided radially by ribs (17) on the inside of the valve casing (11). The valve plate has a ball and socket mounting on the rod. The rod may have a return spring (19) between it and the casing, and may have disc shaped flanges (20), to centre it in combination with the ribs.
