PURPOSE: To reduce sound radiated from an air inlet into a room space without increasing an inlet flow resistance of room air in a ceiling recessed air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A hollow sound-absorbing member 11 is installed right above an air inlet 9a of a ceiling recessed air conditioner 1. The sound-absorbing member 11 is formed in a frustum of cone so that a side plate 11c thereof disposed with an inclination, together with a bell mouth 5, guides suction air toward a turbo-blower 3. Whistling sound evolving in the turbo-blower 3 is introduced into an interior of the sound-absorbing member 11 through the side plate 11c and diminished. |
