PURPOSE: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which heavy-current can be taken out at a low temperature and large discharging capacity at a low temperature is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode using lithium as active material, nonaqueous electrolyte consisting of solvent and solute, and a separator, mixed solvent consisting of 5-50% by volume of cyclic carbonic ester, 5-50% by volume of chain carbonic ester, and 40-80% by volume of ether is used as the solvent. In this way, the solvent for the nonaqueous electrolyte is the mixed solvent of the specific composition, so that a coating film is hardly formed on the surface of the negative electrode, and resistance of the boundary face between the surface of the negative electrode and the nonaqueous electrolyte is reduced. |
