The display is used for a plug-in module (3) fitted into an electromagnetically screened housing and has optical display signals provided by narrow beam LEDs (6) at a given distance from the front panel (5) of the housing. The front panel has corresponding openings (7) of insufficient size for affecting the electromagnetic screening, each fitted with a transparent cover plate (8). Preferably the diameter of the openings in the housing front panel is less than the diameter of the light cones of the narrow beam LEDs, with a common transparent cover used for a number of adjacent openings. The front face of the front panel may be printed with information adjacent each opening, for identifying the display. |
