The present invention provides a tubular container (10) for holding tablets. Said tubular container comprises a dispensing opening (14) on the side wall (11) of said tubular container. The location and the dimension of said dispensing opening allows to dispense the contained tablets one by one, for example into a dish or laundry machine dispenser or into a suitable dispensing device without the user touching directly said tablet with its fingers. <MATH>
