The invention concerns a drum brake having a brake anchor plate which is divided into a support member (10) and a backplate (22). The support member (10) has a central ring (12) for centring and securing on a vehicle axle housing, and an abutment carrier (16) on which brake shoes (38) can be supported in the peripheral direction. The brake shoes (38) can be supported in the axial direction on the backplate (22). The support member (10) additionally comprises a mounting (20) for a wheel speed sensor (46) and a support (56) for the sheathing (58) of a brake cable (60).
