PURPOSE: To efficiently remove nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas containing excessive oxygen within a wide temp. range by using an exhaust gas purifying material obtained by supporting a catalyst composed of silver or a silver compd., a catalyst composed of oxide of W or the like and a catalyst composed of Pt or the like on porous inorg. oxide. CONSTITUTION: This exhaust gas purifying material is composed of a first catalyst obtained by supporting 0.2-15wt.% (in terms of silver element) of silver and/or a silver compd. or a mixture of them on porous inorg. oxide, a second catalyst obtained by supporting 0.5-30wt.% (in terms of a metal element) of oxide of at least one element selected from a group consisting of W, V and Mo on porous inorg. oxide and a third catalyst obtained by supporting 5wt.% or less (in terms of a metal element) of at least one element selected from a group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ru, Rh, Ir and Au on porous inorg. oxide. |
