PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst capable of reducing NOx contained in exhaust gas from an automobile even at a high temp. by carrying any one of indium and lanthanum on cobalt-zeolite. CONSTITUTION: Cobalt and indium are carried by 2-4wt.% as a bent composition each on zeolite formed in a honeycomb structure or zeolite coating a honeycomb carrier by impregnating an aq. soln. of cobalt and indium salts into the zeolite or adopting an ion exchange method. The resultant cobalt-indium-zeolite is dried and fired at 500 deg.C for 3hr in the air to obtain the objective exhaust gas purification catalyst. |
