PURPOSE: To obtain a pile fabric for vehicle interior capable of preventing falling of pile and occurrence of dullness followed thereby without impairing handle by applying a modified silicone to a pile part composed of a polyester fiber. CONSTITUTION: This pile fabric is obtained by scouring, setting, dyeing and dyeing a tricot fabric knitted using a polyester multifilament yarn according to ordinary method, cutting and raising the resultant front yarn and shirring the yarn to form a pile fabric having controlled pile length, applying water dispersion of a modified silicone expressed by the formula [X is methyl, OH or amino or an epoxy; Y is methoxy, amino, epoxy, carboxy, carbinol, methacryl, mercapto or phenol; (m) = 0-1000; (n) = 0-1000 with the proviso that (n+m) is 2-1000] to a pile part so as to afford 1.0-5.0g/m<2> attached amount of the modified silicone by spray and drying, heat-treating and fixing the sprayed material. |
