HEAT RESISTANT POLYESTER CONTAINER HAVING GAS BARRIER PROPERTY

PURPOSE: To improve the gas barrier property and impact characteristics of a heat resistant polyester container wherein an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponified matter A and a heat resisting thermoplastic polyester B have a specified weight ratio and a shrinkage percentage at heating at a specified temperature for a specified time is at most a specified percentage. CONSTITUTION: A gas barriering heat resisting polyester container consists of a monolayer consisting of a resin composition having a weight ratio of (5:95) to (95:5) between an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponified matter A containing 20-60mol% of ethylene content and 90mol% or above of saponification degree of vinyl acetate component and a heat resisting thermoplastic polyester B containing a crystallization accelerator, or with a B layer arranged at least on its one face, having 10% or below of shrinkage percentage of a container drum part (vertical direction) at heating at 220 deg.C by an oven range for 30 minutes. The heat resisting polyester container can be disinfected (retort disinfection) by high temperature steam heating and has high gas barrier property, with which food therein can be boiled as it is and can be heated by a microwave oven and a grill oven.
