PURPOSE: To make it possible to manufacture a high quality thick board, by furnishing a blocking means for rendering a foaming means temporarily inactive. CONSTITUTION: A blocking means (e.g. a gas supply means for providing a gas into a mold cavity under a pressure) is energized to render a foaming means for foaming an injected plastic in a mold cavity temporarily inactive. Next, a plasticization/injection unit is energized at a first extreme position of the mold in order to inject a heated plastic into the mold cavity. Then, the energizing of the blocking means as well as of the plasticization/injection unit is stopped. In this state, a displacing means is energized so that the mold parts displace relative to each other under a specified condition, Next, the molded thick board is cooled to a specified temp., aid the mold cavity is fully released open in order to obtain a thick plastic board with a sandwich-like structure which has a thickness of at least 6 mm, and comprises a foam core and independent skin layer plates. |
