PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively produce an Al alloy dispersed with strengthening particles by pressurizing the laminate of these strengthening particles and Al foil to make the laminate dense, then subjecting the laminate to degassing, then to plastic deformation at hot. CONSTITUTION: The laminate 3 is formed by applying a slurry consisting of the strengthening particles 2 (ceramics, etc., of a grain size of about 1 to 10μm) and an org. binder over the entire surface on the Al foil 1 (>=10μm thickness) and superposing many sheets thereof. This laminate 3 is compressed by a pressing machine 4 to form compacted briquette 5. The briquette is housed in a treating vessel 7 and while the briquette is kept heated by a heater 8, the briquette is subjected to degassing by vacuum evacuation through a suction port 7a. The briquette 5 is then housed in an extrusion device and is hot extruded by a punch 10 at the extruding ratio of >=5 via pushing die 9 under heating at 400 to 450 deg.C and is extruded from die 11, by which a plastically deformed blank 20 is produced. As a result, the Al blank 20 which is easily and inexpensively dispersed with the strengthening particles 2 is obtd.
