LIQUID CRYSTAL MATERIAL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid crystal material having a specific liquid crystal molecule bonding three fluorine atoms to the end, having low driving voltage and useful for liquid crystal display panels, etc. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal material contains a liquid crystal molecule of formula I [R is a 3-7C straight-chain alkyl; A is CH2 CH2 or a single bond] in an amount of >=60wt.% based on liquid crystal component and contains total weight of the liquid molecules of formula I to formula III (B is CH2 CH2 or a single bond) in an amount of >=90wt.% based on the liquid crystal component. The driving voltage of a liquid display panel can be lowered by lowering a nematic-isotropic transition temperature of the liquid crystal to 55-75 deg.C and the driving voltage can further be lowered by enlarging the twist angle to 95-110 degree.
