PURPOSE: To obtain the stable enriched polished rice or barley extremely useful for people eating rice, etc., as a main food and high in utilization value on industry, because the flowing loss of the enriched nutritive elements on the washing with water is extremely little, because the enriched polished rice or barley is stably, easily and efficiently obtained, and because the flavor of the cooked rice mixed with the stable enriched polished rice or barley is substantially not deteriorated. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the stable enriched polished rice or enriched polished barley comprises dissolving two or more hydrophobic substances selected from among nontoxic, substantially nonsmelling and ethanol- soluble waxes, fats and oils, fatty acids, natural resins, proteins and lipid derivatives in ethanol, and subsequently spray-coating the ethanol solution thereof on the surfaces of the nutritive element-adhering polished rice or barley to form the dense coating layer of the combined hydrophobic substances on the surfaces of the enriched polished rice or polished barley. |
