<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a mucosal surface, capable of restoring a mucous membrane in the oral cavity to the normal physiological state and excellent in adaptation to the denture base mucosal surface in functioning and enable the continuous use thereof in an intact state for a long period. CONSTITUTION: This repairing material is constituted of a solution comprising a radically polymerizable polyfunctional methacrylate and an alcohol and a powder comprising a methacrylic ester polymer or copolymer and an organic peroxide. Furthermore, the characteristics of this method for repairing a based denture mucosal surface comprises making a repairing material applied to the denture base mucosal surface act as a flexible material excellent in fluidity and plasticity in the initial attachment of the denture to the interior of the oral cavity, initiating the polymerizing reaction after use thereof for 1 day to 3 weeks in the oral cavity and slowly converting into a rigid material.</p> |
