PURPOSE: To construct an inexpensive engine output controller which improves the start performance of a vehicle having automatic transmission mounted thereon. CONSTITUTION: A controller 9 controls the speed change of an automatic transmission 2 through solenoids 6 and 7 and controls the line pressure properly through a solenoid 8. The controller 12 of an engine 1 cuts the torque larger than the value corresponding to the set aperture THs, reacting upon the throttle aperture TH being made larger than the set aperture THs, when the gearbox 2 is at the first speed. Therefore, it can solve a problem such as that wheel spin, etc., occur with excessive torque and that the start performance deteriorates. Moreover, the controller 12 terminates the torque cut when the automatic transmission 2 is changed over from the first speed to other speed change stage. |
