PURPOSE: To reconcile both of the performances of cut separation resistance and cut penetration resistance by providing main crossing layers of specific widths in a belt, and setting one cord layer in them except the nearest layer to a carcass to be a narrow width rigid reinforced layer of specific width and specific inclination. CONSTITUTION: A belt layer 5 is formed out of main crossing layers 1B-3B of the maximum width Wb in the range of 70-85% of tread width Wt. Remaining one cord layer except the nearest layer 1B to a carcass 4 is set to be a narrow width rigid reinforced layer Br arranged so that the width (w) is in the range of 50-60% of the maximum width Wb of the main crossing layers 1B-3B and the cord is inclined against the equator plane E of a tire in the range of 5-15 deg.. Consequently, in addition to sufficiently holding the separation resistance of the belt end part, this performance is improved without deteriorating cut penetrating resistance, cut separation resistance is improved, and the long life can be attained. |
