PURPOSE: To realize the uniform heating of a mold, by which no strain develops in a molded body and the molded body has an enough strength and causes no heat deterioration, by a method wherein a mold is rotated under the condition that the mold is inclined at the predetermined angle out of the perpendicular. CONSTITUTION: Under the condition that an enclosed mold, in which powdered or granulated plastic having the volume occupying more than 5% of the volume of the mold is charged, is uniaxially rotated so as not to give centrifugal force to the material under the condition that the mold is inclined at a degrees or more out of tire perpendicular and heated up to a temperature which melts but does not resolve the plastic. Though the whole surface of the mold is uniaxially rotated under the condition that the mold is inclined at 5 degrees or more out of the perpendicular, the material comes into contact with the whole inner surface of the mold in cooperation with the heating at uniform speed, resulting in obtaining a molded body or foamed body having a uniform thickness and intricated shape or structure faithful to the shape of the mold. On the contrary, if the mold is uniaxially rotated without being inclined, the resultant molded body has the wall thickness thinner than that intended at the side surface in the direction of rotation. |
