EXTENTION LENGTH-ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR COMPOSITE SPINAL ANESTHESIA NEEDLE-EPIDURAL ANESTHESIA NEEDLE,AND ITS ADJUSTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for decreasing disadvantages accompanied by the current CSE method and conducting exactly and easily insertion or removal of a spine anesthetic needle during CSE. SOLUTION: A controlling device has one pair of sliding members 51, 32 arranged approximately in a concentric form. A hard anesthetic needle 14 and a spine anesthetic needle 12 can be mounted on the members respectively. An extending length of the spin anesthetic needle 12 is adjusted relative to the hard anesthetic needle by controlling movement between the sliding members 51 and 32 in the axial direction. An engaging operative tab 50 is arranged on one of the sliding members 51 and 32. The sliding members 51 and 32 can be formed in various shapes or sizes corresponding to various combination of the spin anesthetic needle 12 and the hard anesthetic needle 14. The controlling device may be assembled previously with either of the spin anesthetic needle 12 or the hard anesthetic needle 14 or both thereof. Or, the device may use together with the spin anesthetic needle or the hard anesthetic needle both of that are available from other manufacturers.
