摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To prevent a joined part from breaking, when a detected value of the tension of a rolling stock is the same as or more than a predetermined upper limit, by decreasing the target value of a looper angle by a prescribed quantity. CONSTITUTION: A rolling stock 1 is rolled by rolling mills 2a to 2q. The opening angle of reduction is computed by an automatic thickness control device 3, and a rolling device 4 is set. A speed control is performed on a main machine 5 for driving a rolling roll, by a speed control device 6 for the main machine. A deviation is made zero between the detected value of a tension meter and a tension target value and also between the detected value of a looper angle 10 and its target value, by a looper control device 12. When the tension of the rolling stock 1 is in excess of a predetermined range, a correcting means 13 for a looper angle is actuated, outputs a corrected value of the looper angle target value and inputs it in the looper control device 12. When tension deviates from a target value, a looper 7 properly operates, controlling the tension fluctuation; a stable and high precision rolling is therefore made possible.</p>
