The facing (2) lies on an even face (3) of a steep embankment (4) and includes facing layers (7) comprising a support mesh (8), a geotextile (9) and loose material (10). The support meshes are connected to anchored securing units (12) by means of stays (11). At least one straight longitudinal track (13) is configured parallel to a line of slope (15) and connected to at least one securing unit (12a). A stay (11) has a sliding unit (14) at a distance from the support mesh (8); the sliding unit connects the stay (11) to the track (13) and can slide along it. The track (13) can be a tube or a profile section. To put the facing (2) in place, the track (13) is arranged parallel to the line of slope (15) on a prepared even face (3) of the steep embankment (4) and attached to securing units (12) which are anchored therein. Support meshes (8) of a facing layer (2) are laid on the face (3) and connected to the track (13) by means of the stays (11) and their sliding elements (14) which can slide along the track (13). Once the geotextile (9) has been laid in the support meshes (8), loose material (10) is poured in and the procedure is repeated until all the facing layers (7) of the facing (2) are in place. |
