The invention relates to a process for flame spraying and to an apparatus for carrying out the process, powder material being heated even before it is introduced into a flame-spraying burner and before the powder is sprayed onto the substrate to be coated. In particular, the invention relates to a process for high-speed flame spraying, for which purpose a conventional apparatus with a flame-spraying burner and a powder-material feed is used and there is arranged in the powder-material feed a heating device which heats the powder material. The apparatus and process advantageously make it possible to process even coarse-grained powder material by means of a high-speed flame-spraying burner. |
