PURPOSE: To provide a control device for a light-emitting element which enables an unevenness in a unit of a light-emitting element to be corrected and high- speed printing to be performed. CONSTITUTION: Input print data DIN is entered into a shift register 2a and a control circuit 3 together with a clock signal CLK. In the shift register 2a, the input print data DIN is converted to parallel data, and is sent to a main drive circuit 1a as a drive signal DD through a latch 2b to drive printing blocks 10a to 10h. On the other hand, correction data which is read by the control circuit from a serial ROM is entered into an auxiliary drive circuit through the shift register and the latch to correct an unevenness in the printing blocks 10a to 10h. Selection is made between the printing blocks by a second drive circuit 4. |
