A pair of pincers (1) with a return spring (17) and a limiter (18) of the angle of opening is applied e.g. to the wrist (3). The lower arm is terminated with a cushion (2) and the upper arm carries a spring-loaded punch (4) whose spindle (9) bears directly upon the pointer (11) of a gauge (12) zeroed by a small return spring (14). Patients may be classified into three or four categories of sensitivity for which devices can be provided with different strengths of spring (7) compressed within a hollow sphere (6) around the spindle.
