A device for conveying selective articles, partic. plastic bottles or flasks, has an upwardly sloping guide channel (4) containing a system of two driven brushes (5, 6) placed opposite each other either side of the path of the bottles in the guide. The angle of inclination ( alpha ) of the guide, the separation distance of the brushes, the speed of rotation and the length and flexibility of the brush bristles determines the sort of articles having an external size (D) and weight less than a given value that will be carried up the channel by the bristles of the rotating brushes. The selective conveyor is associated with bottle compaction and comprising a heated pipe (13) inclined downwards, an exit door system (30) and then a system to flatten the softened bottles (14, 15).
