Walking stick or crutch with a supporting device for positioning it in an upright position and holding it in this position, by means of support spokes which can be pivoted out and, in the walking position, rest inside the walking stick or crutch, parallel to a pressure rod, and are folded out in the form of a curve by a spring when unlocked, so that the walking stick or crutch rests on its foot piece and the supporting spokes.
