The structure of the belt is based on a base band 1 finishing, at its ends, in strips 2-2' provided with a rapid-closure buckle 3-3', said base band 1 containing a sealed housing for the bag which is inflatable with the collaboration of a protective front cover 14 which is joined to the base band 1 via one of its longitudinal edges by means of stitching (a seam) 15, whilst, via its other three edges, it is joined by means of a zip-type closure 16 which allows rapid opening, the inflatable bag thereby being completely protected whilst it is inoperative. In an end zone of the base band 1, away from the receptacle for the inflatable bag, there is a sealed box 17 which contains the inflation system which involves a perforator lancet which can be projected towards the closure of the gas bottle when a push-button 33 is pressed, said button being located on the front wall or lid of the box 17 and suitably protected by a seal 36. <IMAGE>
