Energy metering and transmitter unit for usage apportionment

An electronic metering unit for apportioning the relative usage cost of energy for space heating and hot water transmits the respective amounts to a central receiving station via a UHF channel. The measuring and LCD display (3) components are mounted on a PCB (1) which also carries a separate board (4,17) carrying the UHF transmitter circuitry (5) and antenna (21). Temperature sensors (9,10) for the space and water heating elements provide signals which are evaluated/integrated by the microcomputer (7) over a predetermined period for transmission at intervals to conserve the single battery (2) supply the unit.
