Modular solid feeding device to feed a reactor with granular solid material having a chassis, a feed plate support frame which can be arranged vertically or at an angle to the horizontal and is fixed to the chassis, a removeable feed plate which can be moved in and out and is fixed freely to the support frame, a removeable solid feed chute above the feed plate to feed solids to it and a means of adjusting the width of the support frame, the frame being fitted to a region of varying feed plate width. Also claimed is a solid feeding device with main elements as above and a modular mixt. feed device to feed a glass smelting furnace with mixed raw materials.
