The proposal is for a fuel filter (10) with an integral pressure regulator (11) in which the pressure regulator (11) with its diaphragm (32) is fitted on the inside of a cover (14) having the inlet (16) and tank connectors (17). To the diaphragm (32) through which the liquid flows on the inside is applied the pressure of the fuel on the clean side (25) of the filter element (21), through which the fuel flows radially from the outside to the inside. Integrating the pressure regulator (11) on the cover side provides a simple, compact and economical design of the fuel filter (10), in which only cleaned fuel flows through the valve (36) in the pressure regulator (11).
